Women's Volleyball Falls To UAlbany In Three

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Korrin Burns had 24 kills and 12 digs, eighth time in her career to have 20+ kills. 
>> It was the second time the Red Flash has opened its season at Toledo. 
>> Saint Francis fell short against UAlbany in three set loss (25-21, 25-18, 28-26). 

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
After Aaliyah Toppin's kill to give the Flash a 16-12 lead, the Great Danes went on a 13-5 run to take the first set. UAlbany continued by taking the second and third set to earn the 3-0 win.  

FLASH MOMENTS 
Early in the first set UAlbany was leading 7-4 but Saint Francis powered through with an 8-2 run, driven by Burns five kills.  

In the final set, the Red Flash went on a 9-1 run which drew Saint Francis a 24-23 lead. Burns led with four kills and Kori McClure produced two to set up Paloma Gonzalez Jaramillo's go ahead kill. Alexandra Sappia keyed the run with seven assists and one ace.  

FLASH NUGGETS
Burns, an All-NEC first-team performer, returned with a huge statement collecting her 13th double-double of her career. She added a game high of 26 kills for both Saint Francis and UAlbany.  

McClure, an All-NEC first-team performer in 2024, threw in seven kills.  

Sappia tallied a total of 33 assists, which adds to her having 20 or more assists in the last 16 matches.  

Both Gwen and Hailey Atkins made their collegiate debut. Gwen had two kills and two assists.  

Gonzalez Jaramillo made her Saint Francis debut with six kills on the afternoon.
