Saint Francis Women's Volleyball End Tournament Weekend 1-2

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> Alexandra Sappia had 74 assists combined, bringing her 20+ assists per match streak to 18. 
>> The Red Flash beat Robert Morris in its 88th match up, adding another tally to Saint Francis's win column. 
>> Saint Francis split on the day, defeating Robert Morris (25-22, 25-19, 25-17, 25-19) and losing against Toledo (25-17, 25-21, 25-19, 25-13).  

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME VS ROBERT MORRIS
The first set was a battle back and forth until Saint Francis used a kill by Korrin Burns to tie 22-22, however, Robert Morris pulled ahead and took the set. The Red Flash came out hot in the second with a 9-4 run aided by Paloma Gonzalez Jaramillo's two kills, service ace, and block. Saint Francis continued to push past the Colonials to take the win 4-1.  

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME VS TOLEDO
The Red Flash went on three separate runs in the second set to claim victory, including two kills from Alyssa Irwin and four from Burns. Toledo came back in the third off of three attack errors by the Red Flash and never regained control, taking the game 3-1. 

FLASH MOMENTS VS ROBERT MORRIS
Keeping the kill streak going in the third, Saint Francis jumped an 8-3 run led by Burns's four kills. Thanks to an added kill from Gonzalez Jaramillo and a service ace by Kori McClure, the Red Flash were able to take its second set of the night.  

In the fourth, Irwin lit a fire for the Red Flash drawing a kill to go on another 8-3 run. Saint Francis never looked back as it turned its lead into a win. To cap off the game, Sappia set up a pair of kills for Gwen Atkins.  

FLASH MOMENTS VS TOLEDO
After a timeout called by Saint Francis, the Red Flash generated a run of 10-3 based off errors by the Rockets. It did not stop there; the Red Flash energized another stretch of 6-1. The right-handed hitter, Burns, tallied two kills set up by Sappia to close the second set 25-21. 

Saint Francis went on a 4-0 run late in the third set to try and tighten the gap. The run started with Gonzalez Jaramillo's kill, followed by a strike from Atkins and Burns. Two of those were assisted by Sappia and one by Irwin 

FLASH NUGGETS
Burns accumulated a total of 41 kills and 18 digs on the day. Including another 20+ kill game to bring her to her ninth of her career.  

McClure threw in 12 kills and 3 blocks respectively. 

Sappia led all players with 48 assists and four blocks in the first match. She then added 26 assists, one block, and seven digs to the second.  

Atkins added 23 digs collectively.  

Irwin batted down several swings giving her five blocks from the day. 

In the first game, Gonzalez Jaramillo had 15 kills and 16 digs for her first Saint Francis double-double of her career. Then she tallied in five more kills and seven more digs for the second game.
