Men's Volleyball | 1/30/2026 9:54:00 PM

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
>> On his birthday, Nathan Zini collected a double double.
>> Brady Stump recorded a game high 23 kills.
>> Saint Francis won in five against Roberts Wesleyan (25-22, 23-25, 23-25, 25-20, 15-11).

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The Red Flash came out hot with a 6-0 dominant run in the fourth. Kyle Charles set up Cole Dorn, Stump, and Zini for a kill a piece. Zini had two back-to-back aces to force a Roberts Wesleyan timeout. The Redhawks closed the gap to 13-15 but Saint Francis was not content, so they went on 6-1 run and did not let up. Saint Francis won this set and continued to win the fifth.

FLASH MOMENTS
To start the first set with some fire, Zini had a solo block to put Saint Francis on the board first. With the set tied 3-3, the Red Flash went on a 5-0 run. Zini started the run with a kill and then Stump followed with an ace. The Redhawks created two errors to aid in the Saint Francis surge. Nicholas Lynch set up Charles to stretch the lead. The Red Flash never gave the lead up, winning the set.

With the Redhawks leading 10-8, Charles threw up a high ball for middle blocker Sam Lane to send straight down for a kill. Lane was not satisfied as he and Lynch collected a double block. Dorn recorded another kill that was set up by Charles.

Down 16-18, Saint Francis found fuel to go on a 7-1 run. This was mainly due to attacking errors from Roberts Wesleyan, however, Dorn registered an ace. Zini and Lane had a double block to take the lead 22-19.

Saint Francis started the third set with a huge 4-0 lead. Stump collected two aces after a Redhawk service error. Then Dorn and Lane registered another double block to defend the net. A few rallies later, Lynch recorded himself a kill followed by a solo block to take the Red Flash into a media timeout.

In the fifth set, Saint Francis was down 8-9 to the Redhawks. Zini and Stump collected two kills each to push the Red Flash on top. After a Roberts Wesleyan timeout, Charles took a break from assisting and recorded a kill for himself to put Saint Francis in arms reach of the victory. A Redhawks service error gave the Red Flash a win in the final set.
