WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis created a small 10-7 gap in the first set and continued to push a 7-2 run to extend the lead. Stump started to run with two kills, one solo and one set up by Brayden Kuruzovich. During this surge, the Red Flash went on a mini 4-0 run. Once again Stump collected a kill this time Brayden Gall followed with a kill. Kuruzovich set up outside hitter Cole Dorn to record a kill of his own to hit the media timeout and give Saint Francis the 16-9 lead. After some back and forth points, Kuruzovich and Sam Lane had a duo block to give the Red Flash the first set. They continued to push through the next two sets and sweep Catawba 3-0.
FLASH MOMENTS
In set two, Saint Francis went on a quick 4-1 run to take the lead. Graduate student Nathan Zini registered a monster kill that was set up by Kuruzovich. Stump collected an ace and then a kill to give the Red Flash the advantage. Several kills from Stump, Gall, Dorn, and Zini pushed the lead to 24-20. Kuruzovich set up Gall for one last kill to put Saint Francis up 2-0 on the night.
With the Red Flash down 7-8, they went on a 5-0 run to regain the lead. Lane tied the game 8-8 with a kill down the middle. Kuruzovich set up Stump for his 12th kill of the game to force a Catawba timeout. The Indians scored two more points before the Red Flash went on another 5-0 surge. Lane threw in a kill and a service ace to aid in the stretch. Gall recorded a solo block to push Saint Francis to an 18-10 lead. Tate Myatt closed out the game for the Red Flash with a solo block of his own.
FLASH NUGGETS
Stump, a NEC Player of the Week and three-time Prime Performer, finished the night with 11 kills, three aces, three digs, and a .563 hitting percentage.
Zini collected 12 kills, five digs, and a .478 hitting percentage.
Kuruzovich tossed in 31 assists, two aces, two digs, and two assisted blocks.
Lane had six kills, two aces, and two assisted blocks.
Gall registered four kills, two digs, two solo blocks, and a .333 hitting percentage.
