TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis started the fourth set with the same energy it did during the second. Lynch registered a kill that was tossed up by Charles. Stump recorded his fifth service ace to give the Red Flash a 2-0 advantage. Dorn had two back-to-back kills to push the lead right before Sam Lane gave Saint Francis a 5-1 run off an ace. The Red Flash kept the same monstrous energy to take the fourth set thanks to a Dorn kill and ace. They claimed the fifth set and took down the Sharks 3-2.
FLASH MOMENTS
Zini started the match off with a quick service ace to get the Red Flash rolling. Shortly after, Saint Francis went on a nice 6-1 run to take the lead. Charles set up Zini for a kill right before collecting one for himself. Charles then registered an ace from behind the line. Stump and Zini both recorded kills to aid in the gap.
The Red Flash went on an insane 7-1 run to start the second set. Stump put Saint Francis on the board with a huge kill. Zini started the ace train with one then Stump followed collecting three in a row to force a Sharks timeout. Dorn kept the run going off of a kill set up by Charles. Lynch recorded another ace for the team and Stump threw in two more kills to aid in the 19-10 lead. Stump put the Red Flash at game point and an attacking error from LIU gave Saint Francis the set.
With Saint Francis down 2-3, the Red Flash went on a little 4-1 surge to take the lead. Charles set up Dorn and Lynch for a kill each. LIU was forced to call a timeout after a Lynch and Brayden Gall duo block.
FLASH NUGGETS
Stump, a two-time NEC Player of the Week and four-time Prime Performer, finished the night with 19 kills, 11 digs, and six aces.
Zini collected nine kills, seven digs, and two aces.
Charles tossed in 51 assists, eight digs, and two kills.
Dorn had 19 kills, two digs, and a .469 hitting percentage.
Lynch threw in 11 kills, five digs, three assists, two assisted blocks, and a .444 hitting percentage.
Jack Wolgemuth registered a team high 14 digs.
