Saint Francis women's tennis swept Assumption College 7-0 on Monday afternoon in the second day of its spring break slate in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Starting with doubles action, the Red Flash set the winning tone right off the bat. On court one, sophomore Dasha Chichkina and freshman Helena Lynn won their match 6-4, while the teams of senior Kelly Dowuona and freshman Gabriela Almanza, and sophomore Sophia Cunningham and freshman Emma Marais both routed their opponents with scores of 6-3.
Saint Francis didn't let up in singles action, winning all six matches against their Greyhound opponents. On court one, Chichkina engaged in a marathon match, going to a third-set tiebreaker to claim her second consecutive victory of the week with a score of 6-1, 3-6, 10-4. On court two, Dowuona won her match 6-2, 7-5, marking her sixth victory in her last seven matches. On courts three and four, the freshmen excelled, with Almanza claiming a 6-2, 6-1 victory, while Lynn secured her team-leading 18th win with a score of 6-2, 6-0. Junior Reagen Mangan won her first match of the spring break slate 6-2, 6-3, before sophomore Morgan Tuffs rounded out the afternoon with a final score of 6-1, 6-3.

Saint Francis women's tennis is back in action Friday, March 6, as it concludes its spring break slate with one final match against Spring Arbor University at 9 a.m. in Hilton Head, South Carolina.
