TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
Saint Francis went on a little 4-1 to start the first set. Kyle Charles set up Zini for a high ball on the right side to convert to a kill. Then Charles proceeded to set up Cole Dorn and Sam Lane for a kill each. Charles found himself an ace along the line to give the Red Flash a momentum boosting advantage. Daemen crawled its way back point-by-point, but it was no match for Saint Francis. Stump claimed the set with a kill and ace to finish. Daemen could not keep up with the Red Flash for the remainder of the match. Saint Francis ended up winning 3-0.
FLASH MOMENTS
Early in the second set, Daemen was up by one point before Saint Francis went on a 7-2 run. Brayden Gall got the Red Flash going with a kill before a Daemen blocking error. The Wildcats continued to create an attacking error and service error to benefit Saint Francis. Stump had two kills, one set up by Jack Wolgemuth and the other by Charles. To finish the run, Lane and Zini collected a duo block to put the Red Flash up 9-6. Dorn had a huge kill that flew past Daemen blockers to give Saint Francis the second set.
The Red Flash continued to power through the third set with a 7-3 start. Zini registered a service ace and then Charles followed behind with a kill. Lane set up a high ball for Stump to collect a kill. Zini recorded another kill and then collected a duo block with Gall. To finish off the game, Charles set up back-to-back kills for Zini.
FLASH NUGGETS
Stump, a two-time NEC Player of the Week and five-time Prime Performer, finished the night with 10 kills, four aces, and two digs.
Lane collected six kills, two assisted blocks, and a .600 hitting percentage.
Charles tossed in 35 assists, four kills, two digs, and a .600 hitting percentage.
Zini registered 11 kills, two digs, two assisted blocks, and an ace.
Dorn threw in six kills, four digs, and two assisted blocks.
Gall recorded six kills, three digs, two assisted blocks, and a .300 hitting percentage.
