After defeating LIU in a pivotal Northeast Conference match with a dominating score, sophomore Dasha Chichkina and freshman Helena Lynn played critical roles, each claiming commanding victories in their singles and combined doubles matches.

So far this season, Chichkina has been the primary No. 1 player, winning five straight matches and improving her record to 17-12. She has become one of the key driving forces behind the Red Flashes' current five-match winning streak. This is the first time this season Chichkina has been named NEC Player of the Week.

Primarily playing in the third or fourth spot of the lineup, Lynn has emerged as a major contributor to the Red Flashes' recent success, winning her last seven matches. The underclassman currently leads the team with an impressive 22-10 record. This week's award marks the fifth time this season that Lynn has been named NEC Rookie of the Week.
