TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
George Mason grew a small lead early in the fourth set, but the Red Flash went on a 5-0 run to take the lead. Stump slammed a ball down the right side to feed the fire with a kill. Charles registered an ace followed by a duo block by Tate Myatt and Nathan Zini. The Patriots then gave up two attacking errors to give Saint Francis an 8-7 lead. Although that boost was not enough to keep the lead, George Mason took the fourth set to win 1-3.

FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis started the first set off with a statement thanks to a duo block from Charles and Nicholas Lynch. The Red Flash continued to push their lead with a 6-2 run. Lynch recorded the first kill of the game for Saint Francis followed by an attacking error from the Patriots. Sophomore setter Charles set up a high ball for opposite hitter Zini to collect a kill. Gall registered a lone block to aid in the extension of the gap. Gall and Zini both had a kill to end the run to put Saint Francis up 9-5.

In the second set, the Red Flash went back and forth with George Mason for the first couple of points until the Patriots went on a 5-0 run to expand its lead. However, Saint Francis went on small runs to bring the gap within four points. Freshman Derek Piatek started the run followed by a solo block by middle hitter Lynch. Other kills by Zini, Gall, Stump, and Jackson Decker aided the Red Flash.

Points from Stump, Charles, Lynch, Zini, and Piatek all helped keep the Red Flash alongside the Patriots until Saint Francis fell behind by three points. Saint Francis found some hidden fuel to go on a 7-2 run to take back the third set and push the fourth. Gall recorded an ace, Stump had a kill, and Charles and Tate Myatt threw in a duo block. Freshman Myatt collected a kill to put Saint Francis to match point and then Stump finished off the set.
