TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The Red Flash went on a 3-1 run to close the gap. Brady Stump had a kill off of a Charles assist. Stump followed through with an ace from the strip. Zini topped off the run with a kill to bring the game to 11-16. The Cardinals went on a 5-1 surge to take the set. Stanford continued to pull away from Saint Francis, winning 3-0.
FLASH MOMENTS
Saint Francis started the second with back-and-forth points that brought the Red Flash down 12-17. This is when they found fuel to go on a 5-1 run. Brayden Gall had the first kill followed by a Stump, Charles, and Sam Lane kill apiece. Zini finished it off with a service ace.
Being down 9-17 in the third set, Saint Francis went on another 5-1 run. After a service error from Stanford, Jackson Decker subbed into the match and collected an immediate ace. Charles also threw in his own ace to put the Red Flash within four points.
FLASH NUGGETS
Stump, a two-time NEC Player of the Week and five-time Prime Performer, finished the night with five kills.
Zini collected nine digs and five kills.
Charles tossed in 19 assists.
Dorn had five digs and four kills.
