TURNING POINT OF THE GAME
The Red Flash went on two 3-0 runs that gave them the boost for Saint Francis to take the first set. Stump had the first kill of the game followed by an ace. Sam Lane set up Nathan Zini for a kill. Lane and Charles collected a duo block. Brayden Gall had the lone kill to give Saint Francis its 25th point. The same energy was paced throughout the match, adding another win to Saint Francis's column.
FLASH MOMENTS
In the second set, Saint Francis went on a 7-0 run. Lane started the fire with a kill down the middle right before Stump had another ace. The Saints recorded two back-to-back attacking errors then Cole Dorn grabbed two kills set up by Charles and Jack Wolgemuth. Zini topped off the run with a kill down the left side.
To end the match, Saint Francis started the third the same way they started the second, with a large run. Zini claimed an ace right off the rip followed by an abundance of D'Youville errors. Stump received his third ace in this 6-1 span. Dorn and Lane threw in a duo block to deny anything at the net forcing the Saints to call a timeout.
FLASH NUGGETS
Stump, a two-time NEC Player of the Week, ended the afternoon with 11 kills, four digs, and three aces.
Charles tossed in 32 assists, six digs, and an ace.
Zini threw in seven kills, eight digs, and two aces.
Dorn recorded nine digs, six kills, and two assisted blocks.
