WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW 
Saint Francis women's tennis closed the 2025-26 regular season on a high note, rolling past Siena 6-1 on Sunday afternoon at Tri-City Fitness Center in Albany, N.Y.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Throughout the season, the Red Flash have been no strangers to collecting the doubles point, and in today's match, they did just that. While the contest on court one went unfinished, victory was brewing on courts two and three. The duos of senior Kelly Dowuona/sophomore Emma Marais and junior Reagen Mangan/freshman Gabriela Almanza each handled their Saint Bernard opponents, winning 6-2 and 6-1, respectively.

The focus then shifted to singles play, where the Red Flash captured five of their six matches. Team captain Dowuona set the tone on the top court with a 6-2, 7-5 victory. Sophomore Dasha Chichkina closed out her season on a nine-match winning streak, defeating her opponent in dominant fashion, 6-1, 6-2. On courts two and three, the freshmen took care of business, with Almanza winning 6-2, 7-5 before Helena Lynn claimed an impressive 6-1, 6-1 result. Sophomore Morgan Tuffs rounded out the dual match with the final Red Flash victory, earning a 6-3, 6-1 win.

FLASH NUGGETS 
In a season filled with milestones for the Saint Francis tennis team, it was fitting for it to conclude with this one. With her 6-1, 6-1 victory in singles competition, Lynn earned her 25th win of the year, breaking Dowuona and Chichkina's record for the most wins by a freshman in women's program history.

NEXT TIME OUT 
Following the conclusion of the 2025-26 regular season, the Red Flash will await seeding for the NEC Tournament, which begins Thursday in New Jersey.
