Loretto, Pa. – Saint Francis men's volleyball earned a major conference award and placed three players on the All-NEC teams, the league announced Wednesday.
Head coach Mike Rumbaugh was named NEC Coach of the Year for the fourth consecutive season. Brady Stump, Kyle Charles, and Cole Dorn each earned spots on the All-NEC First Team.
Rumbaugh's fourth straight Coach of the Year honor comes after guiding hte Red Flash to a 10-2 record in NEC play and a fourth consecutive regular season title. Over the past four regular seasons, Saint Francis has compiled an impressive 41-5 record against conference opponents.
Stump completed the 2026 campaign with 289 kills, 97 digs, 21 blocks (18 assisted, 3 solo), and 48 service aces in 89 sets to grab the second straight All-NEC spot of his collegiate career. His kills per set of 3.27 during the season put him in sixth place in the NEC.
Stump registered a career-high 23 kills during a match against Roberts Wesleyan. The senior finished the season with 18 matches of 10 or more kills. He claimed one NEC Player of the Week award and nine NEC prime performers as well.
Charles nabbed two Prime Performer awards. The sophomore setter claimed his second straight All-NEC First Team award. He compiled 667 assists (9.01 per set), 103 digs, 38 kills, and 30 blocks (28 assisted, 2 solo) in 74 sets played. Charles accumulated more than 40 dimes on five different occasions, including a season-best 51 on February 27 versus LIU.
Defensively, Charles made a big impact. The Lititz, Pa. native tallied 10+ digs two separate times during the 2026 campaign, including a season-best 15 on March 28 at George Mason. He was also key around the net, piling up 30 blocks (28 assisted, 2 solo).
Dorn brought efficient offense to his first All-NEC team selection, as the senior outside hitter piled up 202 kills and 35 blocks (30 assisted, 5 solo). He had a career-high 19 kills versus LIU (2/27) with a .469 hitting percentage. He also recorded a season-high five rejections on April 11 at D'Youville.
The Rochester, N.Y. native's efficiency proved to be key in NEC play, as he finished second in the conference in average hitting percentage at .379 in 27 sets.
For the third time in four years, the Red Flash had three players earn a spot on the All-NEC Fiirst Team.
Saint Francis will face fourth-seeded LIU in the NEC Semifinals on Friday, April 25 at 3:00 p.m. With a win, the Red Flash advance to the championship match on April 26 at 5:00 p.m., where they would take on either No. 2 seed FDU or No. 3 seed UMES.
