INDIANA, Pa. – Saint Francis men's and women's tennis got to work over Labor Day weekend, opening the 2025-26 season at the IUP Invitational. The two-day event matched the Red Wolves against players from Duquesne, Edinboro, Frostburg and host Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
Women's Action
On Saturday, Helena Lynn and Morgan Tuffs picked up a hard-fought doubles victory against their opponents from IUP. Julia Ritchey and newcomer Annaka Bruder also earned a win against Frostburg.
In singles competition, Reagen Mangan and Lynn opened the season with victories, as did newcomer Nadia Zia-Ahmadi.
On the second day of action, the women's team picked up six wins. Mangan battled through three sets to improve to 2-0, while Sophia Cunningham also earned a three-set victory.
Bruder, Ritchey and Zia-Ahmadi also won their singles matches.

It was also a successful weekend on the men's side. Kevin Titus Suresh won both of his singles matches against Duquesne.
In doubles action, the teams of Deven Pandey and Sebastian Quinones and Luke Mitchell and Nicholas Lamantia each went 2-0 on the weekend.
Pandey, Quinones and Lamantia also picked up singles victories.

A major change this season is that the Presidents' Athletic Conference will play conference matches for women's tennis in the fall, while the men will compete in the spring.
Next Up: The Saint Francis women's team will play its first conference match Tuesday against Saint Vincent.
