Saint Francis University Athletics

SOPHOMORE (2016-17) – At the NEC Championships, finished 17th in the 1,650-yard Freestyle, with a time of 18:17.17… Against Lock Haven (12/3), helped SFU to second-place finishes in the 200-yard Freestyle (1:45.22) and 400-yard Freestyle (3:55.87)…Finished seventh in the 1,000-yard Freestyle at the Western PA Invitational, with a time of 11:20.11.

FRESHMAN (2015-16) – Placed eighth at the NEC Championships in the 1,650-yard Freestyle, with a time of 17:41.79, a time which ranks 10th in program history. Also finished 18th in the 200-yard Freestyle and 19th in the 500-yard Freestyle… Earned five Top Three finishes in the 1,000-yard Freestyle, including second-place finishes against St. Francis Brooklyn(10/10), Siena (1/23) and Youngstown State(1/30)… Had four Top Three results in the 500-yard Freestyle, with second-place finishes in meets vs. St. Francis Brooklyn, Duquesne(12/5) and Siena… Also had a third-place finish in the 200-yard Butterfly at Lock Haven(1/15).
 
BEFORE SFU - Member of the Mount Pleasant swim team for head coach Sandy Felice.  Nelson earned all-county honors and holds the school record in the 500 Freestyle.

PERSONAL - Nelson is majoring in Physical Therapy at Saint Francis.
