Biography
FRESHMAN (2016-17) – Owns the SFU record in the 100-yard Backstroke (56.42). Ranks in the Top 10 all-time at SFU in the 200-yard Backstroke (5th, 2:04.50) and 50-yard Backstroke (9th, 24.21)… At the NEC Championships, placed fourth in the 100-yard Backstroke (56.42), seventh in the 200-yard Backstroke (2:06.24) and 15th in the 50-yard Freestyle (24.21). Combined with Karilyn Quon, Emma Karell and Katie Lafferty for a third-place finish in the 800-yard Freestyle Relay (7:29.24), which is the second-best time in that event at SFU. Teamed with Paige McLean, Sabrina Bowman and Lafferty to finish fourth in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay (1:35.14), the 10th-best time at SFU... Earned three Top 5 finishes at the Colgate Fall Classic, including the 200-yard Freestyle (5th, 1:59.09), 100-yard Backstroke (2nd, 1:00.14) and 200-yard Backstroke (4th, 2:12.09). Part of 200-yard Freestyle Relay team that placed first, with a time of 1:38.63, a meet record. Also helped to set a meet record in the 400-yard Freestyle Relay, with a pace of 3:36.68… Recorded two Top 5 finishes at the Northeast Catholic Invitational, including the 200-yard Freestyle (2nd, 1:58.45) and 200-yard Backstroke (2nd, 2:10.95). Helped relay teams to first-place finishes in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay (1:38.94) and 400-yard Medley Relay (3:58.15, 10th-best time at SFU)… Against LIU Brooklyn (10/29), won the 100-yard Backstroke, with a time of 59.84, and helped earn a win in the 800-yard Freestyle Relay (7:52.89)… At the Magnus Cup, combined with McLean, Quon and Lafferty for a time of 1:37.60 in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay, the 10th-best time at SFU… Against Lock Haven (12/3), won the 100-yard Freestyle (54.35) and 100-yard Backstroke (1:00.26)… At Youngstown State (1/13), won the 100-yard Backstroke (59.75) and helped to earn a first-place finish in the 200-yard Freestyle Relay (1:39.75)… Helped the 200-yard Freestyle Relay team to a first place finish vs. Duquesne (1/14), with a time of 1:38.85… Earned first-place finishes in the 100-yard Backstroke (59.95) and 200-yard Backstroke (2:15.01) against Siena (1/19). Helped win the 200-yard Medley Relay (1:49.84) and 400-yard Freestyle Relay (3:44.88).
BEFORE SFU - Baur attended North Penn High School where she was a member of both the swimming and water polo teams... Baur was a teammate of fellow Red Flash swimmer Erin O'Neill at North Penn... She participated in the Freestyle events... An All-American in 2013 and 2014, Baur has a top time of 52.11 in the 100 Freestyle, which would have placed in the Top Eight at last year's NEC Championships... A two-time All-State and three-time All-District selection, Baur's best time in the 200 Freestyle was 1:53.80, which would have been a Top 16 finish at the NEC Championships... Baur won a Pennsylvania State Gold Medal in 2015 as part of the 200 Freestyle Relay... In 2014, Baur earned Bronze Medals in the 200 and 400 Freestyle Relays... Baur also swam for the North Penn Aquatic club... She was First Team All-State in Water Polo in 2014 and helped North Penn to two state titles... Baur intends to major in Physical Therapy at Saint Francis.
