Mareko continues the Hawaii to Loretto pipeline. He played at Kapolei High School for Head Coach Darren Hernandez… Led the Hurricanes to a 10-3 record this season as well as a conference title and an appearance in the state semifinals… Earned an invitation to the 2017 Polynesian Bowl… Named All-Hawaii by USA Today… In 2016, recorded 62 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, three interceptions, five pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
