SENIOR (2016-17) – Second Team All-NEC at No. 6 singles… Cerdan went 16-7 overall in singles and combined with three different partners for a 16-3 record in doubles… In dual matches, Cerdan was 11-3 in singles, playing at No. 5 and 6, and went 11-3 in doubles… In the Fall, Cerdan earned two wins at the Greater Cincinnati Invitational and three victories at the Rocket Invitational… Went 4-1 at No. 5 and 7-2 at No. 6… Paired with Plamen Avuski, Arturo Dell’eva and Franz Luna in doubles. Combined with Avuski for an 11-3 record, playing at No. 2 and 3.

JUNIOR (2015-16) – Went 12-10 in singles and 3-5 in doubles… 3-5 in singles and 0-3 in doubles this Fall, competing at the Greater Cincinnati Collegiate Invitational, Bucknell Invite and Rocket Invite… Competed at No. 5 and 6 singles… Went 4-1 at No. 5 and 5-4 at No. 6, including 2-0 in NEC matches… Combined with Rodrigo Tico and Robin van der Heijden in doubles… Cerdan and Tico went 1-1 at No. 3 doubles, with a 1-0 record in NEC matches. Paired with van der Heijden for a 2-4 record.

SOPHOMORE (2014-15) – Registered a 7-18 record in singles competition, including 2 conference wins … earned a win in doubles competition with teammate Lawson Barter. 

FRESHMAN (2013-14) – Finished his first season of action with 16 singles wins … registered a 3-3 record in the NEC …  teamed up with Kyle Korus for a 4-5 record in doubles play, including 1 win in conference competition.

BEFORE SFU - Elijah Cerden started playing tennis when he was six years old in Bloomfield, New Jersey. By the time he was 12 years old he was already ranked number 71 in the United States and number 24 in doubles. At 18 years old, he was already ranked number four in New Jersey and number 39 in the East Coast. Cerden currently trains three times a week at the Garden State Tennis Academy and two times a week with his personal coach Omar Sebastian. Cerden comes from a tennis family in which his sister is currently ranked number nine in New Jersey in the U12. Cerden is currently competing in the very competitive Men's Open division of the USTA and has successfully won three tournaments.
