LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 7, 2007) – Senior day was bittersweet for the Saint Francis University field hockey team. The Red Flash honored their three seniors - Leigh Ann Conroy (Walpole, Mass./Walpole), Kati Kenyon (Glenmont, N.Y./Niskayuna), and Annie Paccione (Red Hook, N.Y./Red Hook) – prior to SFU's final home game of the season, but fell to Sacred Heart, 3-1, dropping the red and white to 2-10 (2-1 NEC).
Saint Francis was unable to get the ball rolling offensively, firing only five shots on the afternoon. Junior Belen Albanes (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody) (Atlanta, Ga./Dunwoody) led the team in shots with two, one of which was on goal.
Sacred Heart, on the other hand, fired 13 shots on goal, 10 of which were saved by junior goalkeeper Erin Reifsteck (Battle Creek, Mich./Saint Phillip) (Battle Creek, Mich./Saint Phillip).
The Red Flash hit the road for their final four games of the season, beginning on Friday when they pay a visit to Monmouth at 3 p.m.
