LORETTO, Pa. (Sept. 30, 2007) – Sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Boyer (Pittsburgh, Pa/Mount Lebanon) (Pittsburgh, Pa. / Mount Lebanon) stopped five shots, but Saint Francis couldn't crack the Navy defense in a 1-0 women's soccer defeat on Sunday afternoon at the Stokes Soccer Complex.



The Red Flash dropped to 3-6-1 on the season with a loss in their non-conference finale. SFU will continue its three-match homestand with a pair of Northeast Conference matches next weekend. Fairleigh Dickinson will visit for a 3 p.m. start on Friday before Sacred Heart comes to town for a 1 p.m. Sunday match.



The Naval Academy got on the board on a Brigitte Fox goal at 24 minutes, 36 seconds. Jenn Dunbar and Kristen Laraway both received assists on the goal, which was just out of reach of Boyer into the left side of the net.



The Midshipmen held a 14-4 advantage in shots, and a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.
