Red Flash Finish Season With 3-0 Shutout Win at Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (Nov. 9, 2008) – The Saint Francis men's soccer team scored a season-high three goals and ended the season on a positive note by beating in-state Northeast Conference rival Robert Morris, 3-0, in both teams' season finales' on Sunday afternoon.

 Junior Brian Murphy (Newbury, OH/West Geauga) (Chesterland, Ohio / West Geauga) scored the game's first two goals, and senior Jon Guse (Chandler, AZ/Hamilton) (Chandler, Ariz. / Hamilton) scored on a penalty kick for his final career goal to complete the scoring.

 The Red Flash finish the season 5-11-2 overall, and 2-6-1 in the Northeast Conference.

 Senior goalkeeper Brad Williams (San Lorenzo, CA/Arroyo) (San Lorenzo, Calif. / Arroyo) made two saves in his last career match, and recorded his school-record 17th career shutout.

 Sophomore Brent Brockman (Dillsburg, PA/Northern York) (Dillsburg, Pa. / Northern York) and freshman David Butler (Baltimore, Md./Loyola Blakefield) (Baltimore, Md. / Loyola Blakefield) each had an assist in the match.

 Saint Francis outshot the Colonials 14-13, but RMU had a 6-2 edge in corner kicks.
