Red Flash Return Home To Host Wagner Seahawks

TICKETS: $8 ADULTS, $4 CHILDREN

LORETTO, Pa. (Oct. 13, 2010) - Searching for answers after losing 48-0 to the Albany Great Danes last weekend, the Saint Francis Red Flash (1-4, 1-2 NEC) will look to vent their frustrations on Saturday when the Wagner Seahawks (3-2, 1-1 NEC) come to Loretto for a 2 p.m. showdown.

Last season, the Seahawks and Red Flash had a wildly entertaining shootout on Staten Island, with Wagner prevailing 56-48 after three overtime periods.  Quarterback John Kelly (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) tied a school record with three touchdown passes, and the offensive output in that game was one of the highest in SFU history.

Wagner comes to DeGol Field having just survived another multiple-overtime outing, needing two additional periods to win at Georgetown 22-16 on Oct. 9.  Wagner's David Lopez sent the game to overtime with six seconds in regulation by nailing a 54-yard field goal, and Keith Davis returned an interception 80 yards for a touchdown in the second OT period to give the Seahawks the win.

Please note that this Saturday's game will also welcome all alumni of the Saint Francis Red Flash football program.  There will be an alumni golf outing at 9 a.m. at Immergrun Golf Course in Loretto.  From 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. there will be an alumni tailgate in the lower DeGol Fieldhouse parking lot open to all football alumni and their guests.

You can catch all the action on The Edge 1400 AM and The Edge 850 AM, where Pat Farabaugh will have the call.  You can also hear that audio streaming live online on www.myedgeradio.com.  The game will be available as a live video stream courtesy of Saint Francis University, and you will also be able to follow the live stats feed from the press box.
