TEANECK, N.J. (Oct. 17, 2010) –
The Saint Francis men's soccer team surrendered a first half goal and couldn't recover as it fell, 1-0, at Fairleigh Dickinson on Sunday afternoon.
Michael Calderon dribbled through the middle, and shot from 18 yards out to give the Knights their only goal of the afternoon at 30 minutes, 21 seconds.
The Red Flash had a four-game unbeaten streak snapped, and fell to 7-4-1 overall (3-1-1 NEC). They will return to action with a 3 p.m. contest against Long Island on Friday afternoon. Fairleigh Dickinson improved to 6-6-1 overall (2-3-1 NEC).
“We learned a tough lesson today about the need to be consistent,” said Saint Francis head coach
Michael Casper. “We weren't at our best and that is what it takes to beat good teams. We will rebound and get ready for another important weekend.”
FDU held a 15-9 advantage in shots, while the Red Flash had a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

Patrick Fleming (Dunedin, New Zealand/Bayfield) (Dunedin, New Zealand / Bayfield) had a team-high three shots for Saint Francis.
