CCSU's Claire Walsh scored in the 47th minute of play to put the Blue Devils on the board early in the second half after controlling the rebound off a corner attempt.
Ten minutes later, the Blue Devils' Morgan Santoro sent a shot from outside the box high into the net to notch CCSU's second and final goal.
Tesa McKibben (Cogan Station, Pa./Montoursville) cut the Red deficit in half with 17 minutes to play but SFU could pull no closer.
Central Connecticut totaled 21 shots on the afternoon, nine on goal, compared to 10 for Saint Francis U, two on goal.
