MAROS DE CARVALHO RISES TO THE TOP
After and outstanding six-point outing at Mount St. Mary's last Friday,
Barbara Maros de Carvalho (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Sagrado Coraco de Jesus) has pulled into a tie for second place in the NEC points race. The senior has scored a career-high seven goals and has dished out six assists, tying her total from a season ago.

Saint Francis avenged its first NEC loss of the season with a resounding 5-0 victory at Mount St. Mary's Friday.
Barbara Maros de Carvalho (Sao Paulo, Brazil/Colegio Sagrado Coraco de Jesus) scored twice and dished out two assists for Saint Francis, while
Tesa McKibben (Cogan Station, Pa./Montoursville) racked up one goal and two assists on the day.
The Red Flash opened the scoring in the 35th minute when Maros de Carvalho took the ball to the endline and found
Mackenzie Walter (Hollidaysburg, Pa./Hollidaysburg), who fired a shot past a diving Rachel Bourne. The Mount defense withstood Saint Francis' pressure for most of the first half with Bourne picking up six saves in the opening 45 minutes.
Saint Francis capped the scoring on Maros de Carvalho's second goal of the game on a cross from
Brittany Hasson (Leola, Pa./Warwick) with 48 seconds left in the game.
Saint Francis outshot the Mountaineers 24-7 on the day, Cocozza made three second-half saves, while rookie
Abbey Collins (Centerville, Ohio/Centerville) stopped two shots for the Red Flash.
McKIBBEN A MAC HERMANN HOPEFUL
Senior forward
Tesa McKibben (Cogan Station, Pa./Montoursville) – the NCAA's active leader in career points – has been named to the 31-member 2013 Missouri Athletic Club's (MAC) Hermann Trophy Watch List.
The first three-time Player of the Year in Northeast Conference history, McKibben ranked second in the country in points (49) and fifth in goals (19) in 2012. A strong All-America contender, she racked up eight game-winners while dishing out 13 assists in 21 games for the NEC regular season champion Red Flash.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is the highest individual award in college soccer presented annually to one male and one female athlete. The winners will be announced Jan. 10, 2014, at the trophy presentation banquet at the Missouri Athletic Club in St. Louis.
