Saint Francis Drops Decision at Colgate

BOX SCORE HAMILTON, N.Y. (Sept. 15, 2013) - The Saint Francis University field hockey team surrendered three unanswered goals and fell to Colgate, 3-1, on Sunday afternoon.

Eliana Brown scored all three goals for the Raiders (1-5) and they jumped out to a 3-0 lead against the Red Flash (1-2).

Autumn Pellman (Millerstown, Pa./Greenwood) answered for SFU late off a shot from Carissa Makea (Auckland, New Zealand/Rosehill College) with just under three minutes to play.

Selena Adamshick (Harveys Lake, Pa./Lake-Lehman) added five shots for SFU, while Pellman finished with eight and Makea with five. Jill DiCola (Flanders, N.J./Mount Olive) posted six saves between the pipes for Saint Francis.

The Flash outshot Colgate 21-18 and they led in penalty corners, 11-6.

SFU will return to action on Saturday as it faces Pacific at Drexel, the contest is scheduled for 1 p.m.
