Field Hockey Prepares for Double Header Home Weekend

LORETTO, PA- Saint Francis field hockey has a big conference double header weekend, hosting Lock Haven on Friday at three and Saint Louis on Sunday at one.

ABOUT THE FLASH
The Flash picked up their first A-10 win of the season last weekend, knocking off UMass 1-0 to improve to 6-5 overall on the year and 1-2 in A-10 play. Samantha Zeiders (Hummelstown, Pa./Lower Dauphin) made four saves and Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) scored the match's lone goal in the 54th minute, punching home a Selena Adamshick (Harveys Lake, Pa./Lake-Lehman) pass in traffic. Adamshick later helped to seal the win with a key defensive save late in the match. The Flash are at or near the top in several categories in the A-10 including leading the league in shots and penalty corners. Irene Fritschy (Zwolle, The Netherlands) leads the A-10 in shots and is seventh in points while Adamshick leads the Flash with 19 points, a mark that is good for third in the A-10.

ABOUT THE BALD EAGLES
Lock Haven comes into the match riding an A-10 best six-match win streak and sits at 13-2 overall and 3-2 in the A-10. Rachel Valentine leads the A-10 in goals (12) and points (25) to pace LHU. Seven players have at least two goals in their balanced offense. Look for Maggie Wagenfeld to start in goal, she holds a .76 goals against average this season, but Paige Stuppy has also seen a lot of time in the net. Last season, the Flash defeated LHU 2-1 in double OT at Lock Haven. Overall, the Bald Eagles have won 12 of the 15 meetings, but the Flash have won the last three.

ABOUT THE BILLIKENS
Saint Louis comes into the weekend at 0-15 overall and 0-5 in A-10 play. Carly Kissinger leads SLU with three goals and five players have tallied two. Tori Westhead leads the A-10 in saves with 137 and has made every start in net, holding a 4.85 goals against average and a .652 save percentage.
