LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis football team travels to Central Connecticut State on Saturday for another key NEC matchup. Kickoff is at Noon at Arute Field, with a live stream on NEC Front Row. The Red Flash is 5-3 overall and 2-1 in conference play, while the Blue Devils are 4-5 overall and 3-1 in the NEC.Â

With a win this week, the Red Flash would reach six wins for the first time since 1992. Head Coach
Chris Villarrial would also move into a tie for third place at SFU with his 23rd career win.

Last week, Saint Francis earned a big NEC win over Sacred Heart, 23-14.Â
Terell Smith (West Haverstraw, N.Y./North Rockland) set a school-record with a 98-yard touchdown reception, the longest play from scrimmage in school-history. He added a 64-yard touchdown catch to earn NEC Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors.

Zack Drayer (Hershey, Pa./Hershey ) threw for 291 yards, a yard short of his career high, two touchdowns and an interception, completing 13-of-20 passes.Â
Anthony Abeid (Youngstown, Ohio/Youngstown Christian) earned his first 100-yard receiving game of the year, with seven catches for 103 yards.Â
Khairi Dickson (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) added 86 yards on 24 carries.Â
Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) hit three fields, connecting from 28, 43 and 32 yards.

Solomon Leaeno (Kapolei, Hawaii/James Campbell) led the defense with 11 tackles, including eight solo and a sack. Senior
Semo Sila (Honolulu, Hawaii /Farrington) added nine tackles, with 1.5 for loss, while
Erik Walker (Clairton, Pa. /Clairton) contributed eight tackles, with two for loss and a sack.Â
DaQuan Minter (Johnstown, Pa./Greater Johnstown) and
Angelo Perrucci (Easton, Pa./Wilson Area) each recorded interceptions.

The Red Flash leads the NEC with 31.3 points per game and ranks fourth, averaging 369.6 yards per game. SFU is second in the league in rushing yards, with 157.1 yards per game, and fourth in passing yards, with 212.4 per game.Â

On the year, Drayer has completed just over 60 percent of his passes for 1,434 yards, 11 touchdowns and four interceptions. Drayer, who has three straight 250-plus yard performances, is just 21 yards behind his season-high of 1,455 yards last season.Â

Senior
Khairi Dickson (Cleveland, Ohio/Cleveland Central Catholic) has 619 yards and seven touchdowns, while averaging 5.2 yards per carry. Dickson now has 2,888 career yards, needing just 112 to reach 3,000. The Cleveland native also has eight catches for 94 yards. Sophomore
Marcus Bagley (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) has added 450 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 5.4 yards per touch.Â

Smith has 752 yards and six touchdowns on 39 catches this season, ranking second in the conference and 10th in the FCS in receiving yards per game. Against Sacred Heart, Smith had his second multi-touchdown game of the year.Â
Daniel Adams (Washington, D.C./Northwestern) has 274 yards and a touchdown on 20 receptions, while Abeid has 13 catches for 197 yards.

Defensively, the Red Flash are allowing 23.7 points per game to rank third in the league. SFU leads the conference in both total defense and passing defense, allowing 314 and 174.3 yards per game, respectively. Saint Francis is 17th in the nation in passing defense and 21st in total defense.

Sila leads the team with 55 tackles, including 22 solo and 5.5 for loss.Â
Lorenzo Jerome (Sunrise, Fla./J.P. Taravella) is second with 43 tackles, including five for loss, two sacks and two interceptions.Â
Delondo Boyd (Indian Head, Md./Henry E. Lackey) was named to the CFPA Defensive Back Award Watch List on Wednesday, with 37 tackles and a team-best three interceptions.Â
Erik Walker (Clairton, Pa. /Clairton) leads the defensive line with six tackles for loss, while
Louie Gartner (Paramus, N.J./Paramus Catholic) has three sacks.

Lance Geesey (Harrisburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) has hit 11-of-12 field goal attempts on the year, including three-of-four from 40 yards or more. Jerome leads the FCS, averaging 33.9 yards per return, and has two touchdowns this season.
