NEWARK, Del (March 15, 2015) - Saint Francis U was forced to wait an additional 24 hours before playing its next game at the Delaware Spring Invitational due to inclement weather on Saturday, but took no time in picking up right where it left on Friday as the Flash defeated Cornell, 4-0 and Delaware State, 5-3. Saint Francis finished a perfect 3-0 on the weekend to improve to 11-4 on the year.

Another strong pitching performance propelled SFU early in the morning matchup with Cornell. Right-hander
Blaire Lauthers (Doylesburg, Pa./Fannett-Metal) (3-2) dominated through six innings to pick up her third win of 2015. She scattered six hits over her outing while striking out two.
Ketarah DeVries (Forreston, Ill./Forreston) started the first game for Saint Francis against the Big Red and worked a scoreless frame before Lauthers worked the final six innings. .

Saint Francis and Cornell exchanges zeros through the first four innings of the contest, but the Flash broke through in the fifth as
Aly Ramsaier (Mesa, Ariz./Mountain View) scored on a sacrifice foul out from
Lindsey Reid (Bear, Del./Caravel Academy). Another run came across in the sixth on a Cornell error. Maddison Cabell and
Taylor Parsons (Bellefonte, Pa./Bald Eagle) both picked up an RBI on a bases loaded walk in the seventh to cap the scoring for SFU.

Alexis Bower (Cogan Station, Pa./Williamsport Area) started the afternoon slate for the Flash working two innings before
Ethel Santai (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove Area) (4-0) got the nod in relief and she turned out another stellar performance throwing five innings, allowing two runs, one earned, and striking out three. Her fourth victory of the year leads all Saint Francis pitchers. Santai's five innings of work shutdown the Hornets to run SFU's winning streak to four.

Both teams put runs up on the board in the first inning and Saint Francis broke it open in the fourth scoring four.
Maggie Creciun (Norristown, Pa./Norristown) and Parsons added two hits apiece to lead the Flash offensively. Parsons,
Jordan Seneca (New Kensington, Pa./Plum), and
Kindra Witthus (Hudson, Wis./Hudson) each added an RBI.

Taylor Parsons (Bellefonte, Pa./Bald Eagle) (5) is now tied for the all-time lead with 37. She will look to break the record on Tuesday versus the University of Maryland. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
