LORETTO, Pa. (March 20, 2015) – The Saint Francis U women's lacrosse team will host Delaware State for its 2015 home opener tomorrow afternoon at 1 p.m.
 
The Red Flash opened its campaign with its first seven games away from Loretto where they went 2-5. The two wins came against Mercer (14-7) and Gardner-Webb (15-6) during SFU's spring break trip down south.
 
SFU has had significant success against DSU, which is now in its third season as a Division I program. SFU has won the two previous meetings and outscored the Hornets 38-8 in those contests.
 
Fellow juniors Christina Fini (Huntington, N.Y./Smithtown East) and Rebecca Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) are off to impressive starts for the Red Flash in 2015. They have each netted 14 goals through SFU's first seven games.
 
They have both surpassed their goal totals from the 2014 campaign and are striving to reach the success from their 2013 seasons. During their freshman years, Fini notched 21 goals, while Meyer added 24.
 
SFU will then host Campbell on Friday at 4 p.m. for the non-conference finale.
