LORETTO, Pa. (April 16, 2015) – The Saint Francis University women's lacrosse team will host Central Connecticut State for its first home evening contest of the season at DeGol Field on Friday evening.
 
The Red Flash and Blue Devils both are looking for their first Northeast Conference win and each enter the game with identical overall records.
 
SFU has beaten CCSU just once in the all-time series, which came in overtime in 2011. The Flash has played Central Connecticut close each of the past three campaigns, including last season where it lost by just one, 12-11, at CCSU.
 
Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) put up eight total points last weekend as she fired two goals at home against Mount St. Mary's and scored twice to go along with three assists at Wagner. The sophomore now leads the team in points with 28 and is in third in goals with 18.
 
Juniors Christina Fini (Huntington, N.Y./Smithtown East) and Rebecca Meyer (Cincinnati, Ohio/Seton) have each tallied 20 goals in 2015, which leads SFU. Fini needs just two goals to break her personal record from 2013, while Meyer needs five.
 
Freshman goalie Elizabeth Henry (Wilmington, Del./Delaware Military Academy) was instrumental in SFU's comeback attempt at Wagner on Sunday as she started the second half and piled up a career-high 11 saves in just 30 minutes between the pipes.
 
Saint Francis U wraps up its regular season home slate on Sunday against Bryant at Noon. The Flash will honor its lone senior Kimberly Gronski (Corning, N.Y./Corning East High) prior to the opening draw.
