LORETTO, Pa. (April 18, 2015) - The Saint Francis University women's lacrosse team will host Bryant on senior day at Noon in its regular season home finale.
The Red Flash will honor their lone senior defender,
Kimberly Gronski (Corning, N.Y./Corning East High). She has appeared in all 63 possible games during her SFU four-year career, and the captain will leave Saint Francis ranking fifth all-time in ground balls.
SFU is still looking for its first program win against the Bulldogs, and they will need to bring their 'A game' as Bryant is currently 4-0 and in first place in the Northeast Conference.
The Bulldogs took down Robert Morris on Friday, while Saint Francis U fell to Central Connecticut.
Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) and
Lindsay Ingram (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic) each scored two goals against the Blue Devils on Friday night. Lawrence has now totaled 30 points in 2015 to lead the team; the sophomore also leads the squad in draw controls with 23.
Following this contest, Saint Francis will hit the road for the final weekend of regular season play. The Flash play at LIU Brooklyn on Friday followed by a meeting with Sacred Heart next Sunday.
Fans remember to bring canned goods to donate to support SFU's Dorothy Day Center. You can drop off the goods at the table set up on the DeGol Field House side of the stadium.
