LORETTO, Pa. – Saint Francis senior outfielder
Taylor Parsons (Bellefonte, Pa./Bald Eagle) added another honor to her long list when she was named a Second Team All-Star by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC). Parsons adds the ECAC honor to an NFCA All-Region selection and NEC Player of the Year and All-NEC First Team recognition. She's the first ECAC All-Star in program history.
Parsons led the Northeast Conference with 60 hits and finished fourth in the NEC with a .353 batting average during the 2015 season. Her 20 doubles this season were a school record, and she was the NEC leader and seventh in the nation in doubles. She also led the league and was 13th in the NCAA in triples.
She capped her collegiate career as one of the most prolific offensive players in Saint Francis history. On the final day of her career, she broke the school record for hits and now holds the mark with 196. She also shattered the career record for doubles. She has 52 doubles, 15 more than second place. Parsons also broke the school runs record on the final day of the season, finishing with 117. She is also second with 70 walks and 46 stolen bases and third with nine triples. Parsons is also fourth all-time with her 108 RBIs.
