LORETTO, PA-Â The Red Flash ride a two-match win streak into Sunday's match-up with the LIU Brooklyn Blackbirds for a noon kick-off on Soccer Without Borders day.Â
The team will be selling t-shirts and concessions with the proceeds going to Soccer Without Borders (SWB). SWB is an organization that uses soccer as a means to help impoverished kids and countries. In addition to organizing soccer clinics, games and leagues across the globe, they provide: "academic and language development support, high school and college preparation, as well as workshops on nutrition, wellness, mindfulness, and healthy relationships." All donations raised by the team will then be matched dollar-for-dollar by Positive Tracks,  a non-profit youth development organization that encourages kids to get active.
ABOUT THE FLASH
SFU defeated Robert Morris on the road last Friday and Mount Saint Mary's at home on Sunday by 2-0 scores last weekend to move to 2-1 in the NEC.
Sara Suler (Hermitage, Pa./Hickory) had a goal and two assists and was named co-NEC Player of the Week while
Julia Hernan (Pottstown, Pa./The Hill School)'s two shutouts earned her Co-NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Suler's four-point weekend gives her nine on the season to lead the team and has her in a tie for fifth in the NEC. As a team, seven different players have scored this season for SFU while eight have scored at least one point. Defensively, the Flash are allowing just .92 goals per game in NEC play and Hernan is riding a two-match shutout streak.Â
ABOUT LIU
The Blackbirds will be playing their second match of the weekend, having played at Robert Morris on Friday. They come into the weekend at 0-3 in the NEC having lost a shootout 5-3 to Wagner and getting shutout by Bryant and Central Connecticut 2-0. They were picked eighth in the NEC in the pre-season coaches' poll. Offensively, they run through Jenn Peters who leads the team with four goals and nine points on the season. She is joined by Madison Gomez, whose four assists ties for tops in the NEC. Â In goal, Aline Allmann leads the NEC in saves and has split time with Erin Harbison. Together, they have played to a 2.75 goals against average and a .732 save percentage.

LOOKING AHEAD
The Flash head on the road for their only two-match road trip of the NEC season. On Friday they will take on Sacred Heart before heading to Bryant on Sunday. Match time for Friday against the Pioneers is set for 3 p.m.Â
