LORETTO, Pa. – After blowing out Radford in the season opener last Saturday, the Saint Francis women's lacrosse team travels to Winthrop University on Sunday at 6 p.m.

The Flash was 0-14 in season openers until defeating Radford last Saturday.

Winthrop currently holds a 2-0 record early in the season. The Eagles defeated the Flash, 19-7, last season. Â The Red Flash is still looking for their first program win against the Eagles; SFU trails the all-time series, 0-3. Winthrop has outscored their opponents, 28-11.

Katie Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md./Hebron) recorded four assists against Radford last Saturday to become the all-time assists leader at Saint Francis.

Lindsay Ingram (Stewartstown, Pa./York Catholic) powering the Flash offensive with a six-goal outburst.

Sophomore
Sarah Mahon (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) tallied five goals in nine attempts. Â Senior's
Victoria O'Brien (Saint James, N.Y./Smithtown East) and
Christina Fini (Huntington, N.Y./Smithtown East) finished with three groundballs each. Freshman
Alex Anton (Galloway, Ohio/Hilliard Bradley) led SFU with five draw controls, while freshman goalkeeper
Ashley Stoessel (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) registered her first collegiate victory.Â

Saint Francis leads the NCAA in scoring offense, averaging 23 goals per contest. Ingram averages six goals per game, which is tied for the most in the NCAA, while Mahon's five goals per game ranks her tied for fourth in the country.

The Flash stays in South Carolina to face Furman University on March 1 at 6 p.m.
