Women's Lacrosse Hosts St. Bonaventure on Saturday

LORETTO, Pa. – Following a thrashing of Delaware State last Sunday, the Saint Francis women's lacrosse team hosts St. Bonaventure University on Saturday at DeGol Field at 1 p.m.

The Flash will look for their third win in the 2016 season and will aim to make it two in a row in non-conference play before hosting Sacred Heart on April 8 to open its NEC schedule.

This is the second all-time meeting between Saint Francis and St. Bonaventure. The Bonnies took the first meeting last year, 13-9.

Eight players scored last Sunday against Delaware State, including a rare defensive goal by Anai Flanagan (Rochester, N.Y./Hilton). Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) and Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) led the Flash with four goals each. Katie Schaaf (Ellicott City, Md./Hebron) recorded five assists in the win.

The Bonnies are off to a 2-4 start. SBU dropped a 14-6 decision against Niagara on Thursday. St. Bonaventure played two NEC foes in Robert Morris and Mount St. Mary's, and the Bonnies dropped both contests.

Lawrence leads the Flash in goals on the season with 19. Lawrence needs just six goals to break her personal record from last season.

The Flash welcomes Sacred Heart on April 8 at 3 p.m. to open NEC play.
