Gut-Check Time
The Saint Francis season was revived by senior
Andres Vega (Managua, Nicaragua/Colegio Centro America) last Sunday when his game-winning goal in double overtime gave SFU its first three points in conference and helped it avoid an 0-3 start. SFU's backs were to the wall when freshman
Christian Kirchhoff (Aarhaus, Denmark) was ejected via a straight red card in the 78th minute, but the team showed fight and resolve to find the winning goal.
Difficult Trip
The trip to New York is one of the toughest of the year for Saint Francis as it includes two games against two quality opponents. Saint Francis went 0-2 in New York in 2015 and is just 1-3 over its last two trips.
