Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) was named NEC Player of the Week and
Franz Luna (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Laurel Springs) was selected NEC Rookie of the Week, announced by the conference on Wednesday. The duo helped SFU to a 6-1 win over St. Bonaventure last Saturday as the Red Flash improved to 8-3 this season.

Foo-Kune played at No. 1 singles against the Bonnies. The Mauritius native earned a 6-4, 6-4 win over Victor Blanco. The SFU senior is now 7-4 this Spring, playing all of his matches at No. 1.

Luna competed at No. 2 singles against SBU's Hector Martinez. The Guatemala native picked up a 6-2, 6-2 victory to move to 9-2 this Spring, playing all of his matches at No. 2, and 16-5 overall.

Foo-Kune and Luna paired up at No. 1 doubles for the first time this Spring. The Red Flash duo claimed a 6-3 win against Blanco/Martinez. Foo-Kune has an 8-1 record in doubles this Spring, playing all of his matches at No. 1. Luna is 6-4 in doubles this Spring, playing at all three doubles spots.

The Red Flash returns to action this weekend. SFU hosts Niagara on Friday, March 17 for a 10 a.m. match at the Greensburg Racquet Club. Saint Francis then welcomes NEC foe Mount St. Mary's on Sunday for a 1 p.m. contest at The Club Sport and Health in Monroeville.
