Patrick-Swift's Reaction
"It was great to see our hitters make adjustments and really get after it the last few games," said head coach
Jennifer Patrick-Swift. "Our pitching staff is contributing solid performances and our defense is continuing to push the limits. We feel good about where we are as a team coming back to Pennsylvania. We will continue to work on some things this week to prepare for next weekend's tournament at Liberty."
Junior
Jordan Seneca (Plum, Pa./Plum) moved into second place nationally in home runs with her ninth of the year in the first inning. It was her third home run in her last five games and her fifth of the road trip. Sophomore

Senior
Kindra Witthus (Hudson, Wis./Hudson), who has hit safely in 10 of her last 11 games and is batting .464 (13-for-28) over the stretch, went 3-for-3. Her lead off single in the third set the stage for
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois)'s second home run of the season to make it 4-0.
Incarnate Word employed the strategy of pitching around Seneca after her first inning home run and sophomore
Hayley Norton (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) made sure they paid for it by connecting on Saint Francis's third two-run shot of the game. For Norton, it was her fifth of the season, the second highest total in the Northeast Conference, as SFU padded its lead to 6-0.Â
The Cardinals struck for two runs in the bottom of the third, but the Red Flash answered quickly with a three-spot in the top of the fourth.Â
Redshirt freshman
Halle Marion (Middletown, Pa./Middletown) and Witthus singled to open the frame and Seneca walked to load the bases for Norton. She delivered her third and fourth rbi's of the game with a single up the middle to make the score 8-2. Junior
