Scouting Robert Morris
Â
The Colonials lead the NEC with eight wins, two of which came in the conference-opening weekend. Robert Morris squeaked out one-goal victories over Mount St. Mary's and Wagner, the same opponents the Red Flash played to a 1-1 record. Expect a high-scoring affair as Robert Morris (12.64 goals per game) and Saint Francis (12.33 goals per game) rank one and two respectively in the conference in scoring. Â Robert Morris also ranks no. 1 in the conference in ground balls per game (24.55) followed by the Red Flash (21.44). Robert Morris is as hot as any team in the conference as it brings a season-high five game win streak into Friday's contest. Two of the conference's budding stars will feature heavily on Friday in Saint Francis's
Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus), who leads the league with 37 goals, and Annie Sachs, who is tops with 45 points on 30 goals and 15 assists. Sachs, a freshman, has scored in all 12 contests and has recorded multiple goal games in 11 of 12. She has set her career-high of six points three times. Sophomore midfielder Maggie Stella, an All-Rookie selection in 2016, is second on the team with 24 goals. Freshman McKenzie Gandy, a high school teammate of Sachs, is second on the team with 31 points on 19 goals and 12 assists. Freshman goalie Katelyn Miller leads the NEC in save percentage (.513) and is second in goals against average (8.82 GAA).

All-Time Series

Mahon on a Mission
Â
Junior
Sarah Mahon (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) scored four goals in Sunday's loss to Mount St. Mary's to hit the 30-goal mark for the second time in her career. Mahon leads the Red Flash in scoring over the last four games with 15 goals after she netted 15 through her first seven games. The junior ranks sixth in program history with 77 career goals.
Â
Bounce Back
Â
The Red Flash has shown an ability to bounce back from losses all season long, recording a 3-1 record in games immediately following a loss. The longest losing streak of the season has been just two games.
Â
Mazzur Does it All
Â
Junior midfielder
Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) has been an unsung hero for the Red Flash. She leads the team in assists (11), Â ground balls (39) and caused turnovers (18), and is second with 28 draw controls. She needs just four ground balls and 15 draw controls to crack the single-season top five in both categories.
