Turning Point
Fischetti opened the scoring with a goal at 28:15 of the first half but Mount St. Mary's followed with three straight. Saint Francis wouldn't take the lead for the rest of the game. After Mahon made it 3-2 with 15:17 to play in the first half, the Mounties answered with another 3-0 run to take a 6-2 lead. The Red Flash trailed 9-4 at the half and never got closer than three goals the rest of the way.Â

- Mount St. Mary's finished with a 27-23 advantage in shots and a 20-17 edge in shots on goal. Saint Francis out shot the Mountaineers 11-7 in the second half.

- Senior Blair Rosenberg (Manorville, N.Y./Eastport South Manor) finished with a goal and an assist and Mazzur added two assists to join Mahon and Fischetti with multi-point performances. Mazzur also tallied four ground balls, three caused turnovers and two draw controls.
- Saint Francis's prolific offense failed to reach double digits in goals for just the second time this season, the other a seven-goal outing at Binghamton.
- SFU and NEC leading scorer Holly Lawrence (Damascus, Md./Damascus) was held scoreless for the first time this season.
- Senior Heather McKee (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright Bel Air) made six saves and sophomore Ashley Stoessel (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) stopped both shots she faced.Â
- Saint Francis fell to 0-15 all-time vs. Mount St. Mary's.
