BOX SCORE Hamilton, N.Y.- The Saint Francis field hockey team (4-2) raced by the Colgate Raiders 6-2 to register its third straight win and fourth of the season. The Red Flash, led by Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial)'s hat trick, netted five goals in the second half to put away the win.
 
Turning Point
 
The crowning shot of Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial)'s hat trick, in the 58th minute, gave the Red Flash, a 4-2 lead that it would not relinquish. 
 
Highlights

• The Raiders struck first in the third minute on a goal by Anne Marijn Brujin.
• Capitalizing on a Colgate turnover and an assist by Abby Romig (Honey Brook, Pa./Twin Valley), senior Kyra Castano (Laflin, Pa./James M. Coughlin) scored her first goal of the budding season to tie the game at 1-1.
• The remainder of the first half witnessed no further scoring as both defenses proved to be bulwarks against any offensive advances.
• Two minutes after intermission, Colgate's Meghan Minturn received a pass from Anne Marijn Brujin to place the ball in the net for a 2-1 Raiders lead.
• That lead would not last for even a minute as Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) put in the equalizer off a Brianna Govia (St. James, Trinidad/Holy Name) assist to deadlock the game at 2-2.
• Six minutes later, Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) again punished the net with an assist from Kyra Castano (Laflin, Pa./James M. Coughlin) off a penalty corner to give the Red Flash a 3-2 lead. 
• Déjà vu struck seventeen minutes later as the capable combo of Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial)'s shooting and Kyra Castano (Laflin, Pa./James M. Coughlin)'s assisting again profited from a penalty corner to push the score to 4-2.
• In the 64th minute, Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) switched from scoring to assists and Brianna Govia (St. James, Trinidad/Holy Name) switched from assists to scoring as Govia scored her 5th goal of the year on an empty net to put the score at 5-2.
• Taylor Nesmith (Mechanicsburg, Pa./Cumberland Valley) polished off the scoring at 6-2 with a penalty corner shot that was assisted by Govia.

Notes

• The Red Flash held Colgate's super sub Iona MacKillop, the leading scorer of the Raiders, to one shot on goal in 33 minutes of action.
• Elizabeth Dyer (Berwick, Pa./Berwick) spent all 70 minutes in the cage and recorded 3 saves.
• Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial)'s hat trick was the first of the season for the Red Flash and the first allowed by the Raiders.
• Seabrook finished with seven points on three goals and one assist.
• Both Brianna Govia (St. James, Trinidad/Holy Name) and Kyra Castano (Laflin, Pa./James M. Coughlin) posted lines of one goal and two assists.
• The game was a tale of two halves: the Red Flash were outshot six shots to one in the first half but rebounded in the second half to outshoot the Raiders 12 shots to three. Overall, the Red Flash finished with a 13-9 advantage in shooting.
• All six of the Red Flash's penalty corners occurred in the second half. Saint Francis scored on three of them.
• Brea Seabrook (Wilkes Barre, Pa./GAR Memorial) now leads the Red Flash in goals (6), points (21) and is tied in first for assists (4).
