LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis Men's Tennis team is set to open its Spring schedule this weekend with matches at Navy and James Madison. The Red Flash takes on the Midshipmen on Saturday at 6 p.m. Saint Francis meets the Dukes on Sunday at 10 a.m.Â

Rob Castille, makes its Spring debut as it looks to return to the NEC Championship match for the third consecutive year.

Senior
Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) was one of three players with four wins this Fall during tournament play. Freshmen
Charles Morkel (Cape Town, South Africa/Paul Roos Gymnasium) and
Sebastian Pinos (Quito, Ecuador/Compuinformatica) each had four victories.

Freshman
Franz Luna (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Laurel Springs), the reigning NEC Rookie of the Year, won three matches this Fall.Â

Luna and Pinos combined for a 3-1 doubles record during tournament play and Foo-Kune and Pinos paired up for a 2-1 mark this Fall.

Chad Allender (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area), sophomore
Eduardo Garcia (Toluca, Mexico/Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico) and sophomore
Samuel Miller (Smithfield, R.I./Homeschool) could make their Red Flash debuts after joining the team after the Fall season.

The Red Flash fell 4-3 in last season's match at Navy. The Midshipmen went 22-18 last season, with an appearance in the Patriot League Championship. Sophomore Matthew Lee led the team with 12 wins this Fall, while senior Walker Sims had 11 victories. Freshmen Peter Lohrbach and Andrew Ton each had 10 wins this Fall.

Saint Francis last met James Madison in 2012, falling 6-1. The Dukes finished the 2017 season with a 14-9 record. Junior Peter Kohler led the Dukes with four wins this Fall., while Alvaro Arce and Tate Steinour had three wins each.
