LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis Women's Tennis team is set to begin its Spring schedule this weekend at Navy and James Madison. The Red Flash meets the Midshipmen on Saturday at 2 p.m. Saint Francis faces the Dukes on Sunday at 2 p.m. The Red Flash, led by Head Coach
Rob Castille, opens its 35th season on Saturday.

Laura Gutierrez (Bogota, Colombia/Cibercolegio UCN) led the Red Flash with five singles wins this Fall. Junior
Raksha Bode (Reunion, Fla./Florida Virtual School) earned four wins in tournament play.Â

Kathryn Dunleavy (Farmington Hills, Mich./Mercy), sophomore
Lucia Seigford (Madrid, Spain/Mirasur) and freshman
Nastasia Tamarkin (Washington, D.C./School Without Walls) each had one win this Fall. Junior
Stephanie Miller (Washington, D.C./St. John's College High School) will be a key part of the lineup after leading the Red Flash with 16 wins last season.

Gutierrez and Tamarkin combined for a team-high five doubles wins this Fall.

Navy made its Spring debut last weekend, falling 4-3 at Penn State. Senior Amanda Keller has a team-high nine wins this year and competed at No. 1 last week. Senior Carlee Conway also has nine wins this season. Sophomore Emily Louie-Meadors is 8-3 this season and won her match at No. 2 against PSU.Â

James Madison will also make its debut in its matchup with the Red Flash. The Dukes went 17-8 last season and reached the CAA Semifinals. Freshman Liz Norman led JMU with a 5-0 record this Fall. Sophomore Diane Flament was 3-1 in tournament play. Norman and Abby Amos were 4-0 in doubles this Fall.Â
