LORETTO, Pa. – The Saint Francis Men's Tennis team is set for two home matches this weekend at The Club Sport and Health in Monroeville. The Red Flash meets Bucknell on Friday, February 16 at 4 p.m. SFU takes on Detroit on Saturday at 5 p.m.

The Red Flash, led by Head Coach
Rob Castille, looks for its first win of the season after an 0-6 start. SFU fell 6-1 against Carnegie Mellon, ranked No. 10 in the ITA Division III Poll, and 4-0 against Dayton last weekend.

Alec Dylan Foo-Kune (Phoenix, Mauritius/International Connections Academy (Md.)) earned a win at No. 2 singles and sophomore
Franz Luna (Guatemala City, Guatemala/Laurel Springs) and freshman
Sebastian Pinos (Quito, Ecuador/Compuinformatica) picked up a victory at No. 2 doubles against Carnegie Mellon.

Foo-Kune owns a team-best seven overall wins, including a 3-2 mark in dual matches. Luna and Pinos are each 6-7 overall. Luna is 3-3 this spring, while Pinos is 2-4. Junior
Chad Allender (Altoona, Pa./Altoona Area) and sophomores
Eduardo Garcia (Toluca, Mexico/Universidad Autonoma del Estado de Mexico) and
Samuel Miller (Smithfield, R.I./Homeschool) are looking for their first wins this weekend.

Luna and Pinos are 5-5 this year, including two wins at No. 2 doubles.Â

Bucknell is 1-3 this season, with a 5-2 win over LaSalle. Last weekend, the Bison fell 7-0 against Miami. Earlier this year, Bucknell fell 7-0 at No. 3 North Carolina and 6-0 against Wofford. Colin Sacco leads the Bison with 10 overall wins and is 1-1 at No. 5 this Spring.

Detroit has a 4-2 record and is on a four-match win streak with victories over Wayne State (6-1), Findlay (7-0), Chicago State (6-1) and Niagara (7-0). Artem Vasheshnikov leads the Titans with a 5-1 record at No. 1, while Nathan Ponton and Luka Soskic are tied with a team-high eight overall wins.
