BOX SCORE Hamden, CT – The Quinnipiac Bobcats used an early 5-0 run in the first half to defeat the Saint Francis women's lacrosse team (0-2) 15-8 on Saturday.
Mazzur Making Plays
Senior Midfielder Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) had an outstanding game scoring five goals on six shots. She also collected two ground balls and caused a turnover on the defensive end.
Turning Point
The Red Flash answered Quinnipiac's early first half goal with one of its own to even things out. The Bobcats then proceeded to go on a 5-0 scoring run allowing the Bobcat's to take a 6-2 advantage into the half. For most of the second half, the two schools exchanged goals, but the Bobcats closed the game scoring three goals in the final fifteen minutes.
