Scouting Duquesne
The Dukes are 0-3 with losses to Robert Morris, Penn State, and Niagara. Duquesne went 2-15 and 0-9 in the A-10 in 2017, including a 15-11 win over Saint Francis. The Red Flash, found themselves fighting an uphill battle, giving up the first six goals of the game. Saint Francis battled back to make it a two goal game, but the comeback fell short. Kirsten Barnes paces Duquesne this season with six goals and an assist. Jill Vacanti has added five goals and two assists.
Money Mazzur
Senior midfielder Jessica Mazzur (Dallastown, Pa./York Catholic) has caught fire over the past two games. She averaged 4.5 goals, 8.5 shots and 5 points in that span. She currently leads the Red Flash in goals (9), assists (3), shots (22), and points (12). Mazzur, with three assists already this season, has moved up to third all-time in career assists at Saint Francis.
Scott Contributing Early
Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) has been contributing in many ways for the Red Flash early on during her freshman campaign. Scott leads the team in draw controls (29) and is second on the team in goals (5). She is also second on the team in ground balls (7) and is part of a two-way tie for points with six.
