Concheck's Reaction

"
Our second half scoring surge wasn't enough for us to get the W against the Dukes today. Little mistakes cost us big in the midfield as well as in our defensive end. We are continuing to grow every day, which is positive. I am very proud of how we never gave up and fought until the end."

Turning Point

The Dukes charged out of the gates with the game's first three goals but the Red Flash answered with a 3-0 run of its own ignited by a highlight reel goal from senior Jessica Fischetti (Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge). Duquesne responded after taking a timeout by reeling off seven of the game's next eight goals for a 10-4 advantage. Mazzur's first goal of the game cut it to 11-7 at 26:53 of the second half before the Dukes used a 4-0 run to double the lead to 15-7.
