Jessica Fischetti (Massapequa, N.Y./Plainedge) became the ninth player in program history to reach 100 career points as the Saint Francis women's lacrosse team (3-3) erased a 6-3 halftime deficit for a 12-9 win at Gardner-Webb (1-4) on Tuesday.

"We got off to a sluggish start but I am happy with the way we responded," said head coach
Kara Concheck. "It was big for us to get two wins on this road trip and now we come back home and will try to make it a three-game winning streak on Saturday."
Turning Point
The Red Flash, plagued by 13 first half turnovers, trailed 6-3 at the break. Fischetti opened the second half scoring with her first of the game to pull within two but the Runnin' Bulldogs answere with a goal of their own less than a minute later to lead 7-4.
Saint Francis then took control of the game with a key 6-0 run over the next 16:17. Sophomore
Lauren Ryan (Fallston, Md./Notre Dame Prep) tied the game at 24:19 of the second half and Mazzur put them in front for good with 21:24 to play.
Gardner-Webb pulled within one, 10-9, before Mazzur's fifth of the game with 5:30 remaining gave Saint Francis a two-goal cushion.

- Mazzur leads the team with 22 goals, surpassing her total of 20 from last season through just six games. Her career-high for a season is 23 set in 2016 as a sophomore.
- Fischetti finished with four points on two goals and two assists. She joins Mazzur and senior Sarah Mahon (Malverne, N.Y./Kellenberg Memorial) as current players with 100 career points. She is t-7 in school history with 68 career goals.
- In addition to a game-high seven draw controls, Emileigh Scott (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) scored a career-best three goals to go with four ground balls and three caused turnovers.
- Sophomore Peyton LeConte (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron) led a stingy Red Flash defensive effort with three ground balls and two caused turnovers.
- Junior goalie Ashley Stoessel (Smithtown, N.Y./Smithtown East) stopped 11 of 20 shots. She has made double digit saves in four of five starts and has a save pct. of .513.
