OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Saint Francis Softball team split its action on Friday at the OSU Hall of Fame Classic. Saint Francis earned a 10-1 win in five innings over Pacific in game one, but fell 4-3 against Purdue in game two. The Red Flash is now 12-11 this season.

Jordan Seneca (Plum, Pa./Plum) had a solo homer in the first game and
Hayley Norton (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) followed with a two-run bomb in the second game.

The Red Flash continues the OSU Hall of Fame Classic on Saturday with matchups against Drake (2:30 p.m. ET) and Oklahoma State (7:30 p.m. ET). The classic concludes on Sunday against UConn (11 a.m. ET).

Game 1 – Pacific
Sophomore
Abby Trahan (Kaplan, La./Kaplan) started for the Red Flash in the circle. Trahan earned her ninth win of the season, going four innings. She allowed just one run on three hits, with a walk and three strikeouts. Sophomore
Adrian Smith (Clairsville, Ohio/St. Clairsville) recorded her first save of the year with a scoreless fifth inning, giving up a hit and a walk and striking out one.

Hailey Reed started for the Tigers, giving up six runs on three hits and three walks, while striking out two, in 1.2 innings. Megan Walters threw one inning, allowing a run on two hits and Kenya Lindstrom fired one inning, giving up three runs, two earned, on a hit and two walks.

The Red Flash tallied 10 runs on six hits and drew five walks.Â
Madison Cabell (Ivor, Va./Southampton) led the offense with two hits, two runs and three RBI.Â
Jordan Seneca (Plum, Pa./Plum) hit her second homer of the season to go with two runs and two RBI, while
Kassidy Troxell (Navarre, Ohio/Perry) collected two hits, a run and two RBI.Â
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) drove in two runs on a hit and scored once.Â
Jordan Frank (DuBois, Pa./DuBois Central Catholic) scored twice.

Pacific had a run on four hits. Sydney Lahners led the Tigers with two hits, including a solo homer, while Hailey Reed and Rachel Sellers each had a hit, with Sellers collecting a double.

The Red Flash exploded for six runs in the bottom of the first. After back-to-back walks by Frank and
Hayley Norton (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) to start the inning, Cabell lined a single to center to score Frank. Two batters later,
Sierra McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) drew a walk to load the bases for Seneca, who was hit by a pitch to score Norton from third. Troxell followed with a single to right to plate Cabell and McKee. After Troxell stole second,
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) shot a liner into right to score Seneca and Troxell and extend SFU's lead to 6-0 after the first inning.

Saint Francis added a run in the bottom of the third. With two outs, Seneca hit a fly ball over the wall in left to give the Red Flash a 7-0 advantage.

Pacific answered with a run in the top of the fourth on a solo homer to left center by Lahners to cut its deficit to 7-1.

However, the Red Flash scored three more runs in the bottom of the fourth. After walks by
Cheyenne McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) and Frank, a groundout by Norton pushed the runners to second and third. Cabell followed with a single to the gap in left center to score both runners. Two batters later,
Sierra McKee (DuBois, Pa./DuBois) reached on an error to allow Cabell to cross the plate. Saint Francis led 10-1 after four innings.

Game 2 – Purdue
Trahan started in the circle in game two. The sophomore threw a complete-game, going seven innings. She allowed four runs, only one earned, on seven hits, while walking two and striking out three.

Sydney Bates got the start for the Boilermakers. She went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits and two walks, while striking out five. Kaitlyn Moody entered the game in the fourth inning, going four innings. She gave up a run on three hits, with two strikeouts and five walks.

The Red Flash had three runs on five hits.Â
Hayley Norton (Spring Grove, Pa./Spring Grove) had two hits, including a two-run homer, and scored two runs.Â

Purdue had four runs and seven hits. Jenny Behan led the Boilermakers with three hits, including a triple, and two RBI. Ryleigh Scott had an inside-the-park home run and Stephanie Ramsey added two hits.

The Boilermakers pushed three runs across in the top of the third. Back-to-back singles by Ramsey and Halle Hixenbaugh started the inning. Three batters later, Alexa Binckes reached on an error, with pinch-runner Maya Hughes scoring from third. Behan followed with a line drive down the line in right for a triple to plate two runners.

The Red Flash answered with two runs in the bottom half of the inning.Â
Jordan Frank (DuBois, Pa./DuBois Central Catholic) drew a two-out walk and stole second before Norton launched a fly ball over the fence in right for a two-run homer. Saint Francis trailed 3-2 after three innings.

Purdue added a run in the top of the seventh. With two outs, Scott hit a line drive to right that snuck under the glove of a diving Seneca and rolled to the wall to allow Scott to score on an inside-the-park homer.

Saint Francis came close to rallying back in the bottom of the seventh. With one out, Norton sent a grounder up the middle for a single. Cabell followed with her own single to center to put two runners on before
Mikayla Bower (Williamsport, Pa./Williamsport) was hit by a pitch with two outs to load the bases. Seneca laid off a 3-2 pitch for her third walk of the day to score Norton from third.Â
Kassidy Troxell (Navarre, Ohio/Perry) hit a fly ball to the warning track in center, but it was caught to end the game.Â
